Christmas 2016 Strikes at Heathrow

19th December update – British Airways are stating ‘We are planning to run a full schedule on Christmas Day and Boxing Day despite the threatened industrial action.’

There’s a few different strikes at Heathrow this December, here’s a summary.

Strike actions effecting Heathrow.

Swissport workers who include baggage handers and check-in staff are striking for 48 hours over pay which will span 23rd and 24th December.

Some British Airways cabin crew are planning a a strike on 24th and 25th December over pay.

Strike action by date.

23rd December – Swissport.

24th December – Swissport and BA.

25th December – BA.

The strikes will not have a blanket effect on flights. Check with your airline.
