Third Runway scrapped by Britain’s new coalition Government.

Former prime minister Gordon Brown supported the call for a new runway at Heathrow for the economic benefit the expansion could bring.

The new Lib Dem, Conservative coalition, headed up by David Cameron, will also refuse any additional runways at Gatwick and Stansted, bringing a definitive end to the debate which was in the High Court not so long ago.

BAA says it would work with the new government to provide strong trading connections.
