Heathrow Body Scanners now active

Body scanners are now a part of the security screening process at London’s Heathrow Airport.

The body scanners, which cost £100,000 each, are not to be used on all passengers, but ‘random’ passengers (similar to the shoe x-ray process).

Staff have also been trained to spot the behaviour of suspicious passengers, so that these people can be picked to be scanned.
